Procurement Exemption for Associate Development Organization Services

The Pierce County Economic Development Department is seeking to contract with the Economic Development Board for Tacoma-Pierce County for recruitment, business retention, and expansion services. The contract is expected to have an initial term of 12 months and a total cost of $57,500. The County has identified the Economic Development Board as the sole entity that meets the minimum requirement of being an Associate Economic Development Organization (ADO) designated by the Washington State Department of Commerce. • The contract includes services such as business retention, expansion, business climate improvement, underserved community outreach, and marketing. • The Economic Development Board is the designated ADO for Pierce County. • The contract may be extended for a commensurate amount of funding for a total maximum term of five years.
