Description
The City of Laredo is seeking a Construction Manager‑at‑Risk (CMAR) to lead the preservation and restoration of the historic Plaza Theatre. The scope includes interior renovation, selective structural reconstruction, integration of new mechanical/electrical/plumbing systems, construction of an adjacent infill building to support theater operations, and accessibility upgrades, all in accordance with an approved Master Plan. Only firms that were short‑listed in Step I may submit proposals. Bidders must provide a bid bond equal to 5 % of the estimated $8.4 million project budget and be prepared to enter a contract within ten days of award. Proposals are due 4 PM CT on 19 Oct 2026, with questions due 12 PM CT on 9 Oct 2026.
