The Naval Surface Warfare Center (NSWC) Corona Division requires a sole‑source, firm‑fixed‑price modification of 500 existing headspace gages (Part No. 7799734). The work consists of laser‑welding a minimum 0.002‑inch layer of high‑speed tool steel M2 onto the end face of each gage, followed by a First Article Inspection (FAI) before proceeding with the remaining units. The contractor must be located within a 35‑mile radius of the NSWC facility to allow government‑supervised oversight visits. Delivery of modified gages is to be performed in batches of 100 units, with government pickup on site. The contract is a single‑order, all‑or‑none award to B&D Precision Welding, and the total performance period is 30 calendar days from lead‑time to delivery.
