Description
The Okeeheelee Park BMX Parking Improvements project involves renovations to the parking area at the BMX and tennis/pickleball areas of Okeeheelee Park. The work includes paving, grading, and drainage improvements. The contractor will be responsible for site preparation, excavation, embankment, and earthwork, as well as the installation of utilities, conduits, and sleeves. The project requires compliance with the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) standard specifications for road and bridge construction.
• The contractor must become familiar with the site conditions and determine the existing soil conditions to understand the limit and depth of expected organic material.
• The contractor is responsible for final grading of the site to within ±0.1 foot of all proposed finished grade elevations.
• The contractor must ensure that all constructed facilities are completed prior to scheduling field reviews.
• The contractor is responsible for obtaining necessary testing to assure proper compaction of subgrade, base material, and other areas.
• The project requires compliance with ADA standards for handicap parking spaces and ramps.
