BID NOTICE: ONE (1) AUTO SIDE LOAD REFUSE TRUCK

The City of Minot is seeking bids for the purchase of one (1) auto side load refuse truck. The truck should meet the specifications outlined in the bid document, including a tandem axle configuration, a minimum gross vehicle weight of 64,000 lbs, and a minimum capacity of 27yds. The successful bidder will be responsible for delivering the truck to the City of Minot's Public Works Building. The bid price should not include sales tax or other applicable taxes. • The truck should have a Cummins engine certified to meet Final Tier 4 emissions • The truck should have a net horsepower of not less than 360 HP • The truck should have a torque of not less than 1,200 ft-lbs • The truck should have a 200 amp alternator or greater • The truck should have a block heater installed • The truck should have an Allison Automatic 6 speed RDS with push button shift control • The truck should have a PTO directly mounted to the transmission • The truck should have a minimum capacity of 27yds with a 4yd curved tailgate • The truck should have a hopper with a minimum capacity of 6 yds • The truck should have LED work lights for both the hopper area and picking area for arm • The truck should have broom and shovel brackets • The truck should have hydraulically controlled tailgate and latches operated from inside the cab • The truck should have a tip to dump for unloading material • The truck should have a pre-crusher plate if available • The truck should have lift arm restraint and/or buzzer to prevent arm movement when in transit • The truck should have joystick control inside the cab for automated arm system • The truck should have pack on the go capability • The truck should have hydraulic tank with a capacity of 70 gallons or more with in-tank coolant heater • The truck should have all lift arm hydraulic controls electric over hydraulic • The truck should have the ability to work at idle • The truck should have side mounted ladder for hopper access if an option • The truck should have fire extinguisher, triangles, and proper reflective visible warning labels
