Description
The City of Yuba City’s Public Works Department is seeking a qualified engineering consulting firm to provide full‑service professional engineering for the assessment, design, bidding assistance, and construction support of a comprehensive HVAC replacement and upgrade at the Wastewater Treatment Facility Laboratory. The consultant will evaluate existing systems, develop alternatives, produce detailed design documents, assist with bid preparation, and support construction while minimizing disruption to critical laboratory operations. <br/>• Conduct a detailed on‑site assessment of current HVAC, building envelope, moisture, and hazardous‑material conditions.<br/>• Develop and compare feasible improvement alternatives, including energy‑efficient and code‑compliant solutions.<br/>• Prepare plans, specifications, calculations, and cost estimates for the selected alternative.<br/>• Provide bid‑phase assistance: attend pre‑bid meeting, respond to bidder questions, prepare addenda, and evaluate bids.<br/>• Offer construction‑phase engineering support: submittal review, RFI responses, site observations, commissioning, and close‑out documentation.<br/>• Deliver multiple design stages (30%, 65%, 95%, Final) and a final assessment report.
