Grand Avenue Sewer Abandonment - South 33rd Street to Jordan Creek

The City of West Des Moines is seeking bids for the Grand Avenue Sewer Abandonment project, which involves the extension of an 8” sanitary sewer, abandonment of existing sanitary sewer pipes and manholes, and associated repairs to streets and shared use paths. The project requires the furnishing of all labor, equipment, and materials for the construction of improvements. The work must be done in strict compliance with the Plans and Specifications prepared by Kirkham Michael. • The project includes the abandonment of 7814 LF of existing sanitary sewer pipe and 16 sanitary sewer manholes. • The project requires associated repairs to streets and shared use paths, traffic control, and site restoration. • The project must be completed within 243 days, with substantial completion by July 31, 2026, and final completion by September 15, 2026. • The City reserves the right to reject any and/or all bids and to waive any and/or all technicalities and/or all irregularities.
