The Texas Behavioral Health Executive Council is seeking a continuous query subscription to the National Practitioner Data Bank (NPDB), a federally established repository of reports concerning professional disciplinary actions, adverse licensure actions, and other legally reportable events. The subscription will provide automated, rolling monitoring of enrolled practitioners, coverage 24 hours per day, 365 days per year, and electronic notification to the agency when a new report is received. The council regulates a large and diverse population of licensed practitioners, and timely identification of out-of-state disciplinary actions is essential to comply with statutory renewal requirements and protect the public.
• The NPDB continuous query subscription will be used as a standing component of BHEC’s licensure renewal, enforcement, and compliance-monitoring processes.
• All active licensees will be enrolled for the duration of their licensure, and notifications received will be reviewed by staff and referred as appropriate for investigation or disciplinary action.
• The council is seeking a vendor that can provide a nationally recognized practitioner database, receive mandatory disciplinary and adverse action reports from all U.S. states and applicable reporting entities, offer a continuous query subscription model, and provide timely electronic notification of newly reported adverse actions.
