Bid Posting Date: 07/19/2024 Project: Request for Proposal - Citywide Scrap Metal Removal Project Number: 24-350-0600 Request for Proposals Due - 4pm August 19, 2024 local time The range of services includes, but is not limited to: The purpose of this document is to solicit proposals from firms to provide scrap metal collection, processing, and transport to an off-site disposal facility. The project will be broken into multiple phases including but not limited to: Survey & Evaluation, Planning, Execution, & Close-out. The Contractor or Firm selected is intended to complete every phase of the project and provide a turnkey service to the City of Valdez. The City reserves the right to waive any irregularities or informalities in a quote, to reject any and all quotes without cause, and to re-solicit for quotes. Current minimum prevailing wage rates as published by the Alaska Department of Labor must be paid if required by law. Requirements of the Alaska Employment Preference (AS 36.10) must be met. The City of Valdez encourages disadvantaged, minority and women-owned firms to respond and is available to assist said firms in learning how to do business with the City.
