Budget estimate

$200,000 – $600,000

The RFP provides estimated annual scrap volumes totaling roughly 223,000 lb (e.g., 75 k lb aluminum, 30 k lb copper, 100 k lb iron, etc.). Assuming an average realized price of $0.90‑$1.20 per pound (based on current metal market indices), the district would pay the contractor approximately $200,000‑$270,000 per year. Over the two‑year base term, total revenue to the contractor would likely fall between $400,000 and $540,000. Adding a modest profit margin (10‑15 %) yields an estimated net budget range of $200,000‑$600,000, depending on actual volumes, price adjustments, and efficiency of operations.
