SITE Domestic Water Valve Replacements Phase 2, NIST, Boulder, CO

The National Institute of Standards & Technology (NIST) is seeking information from potential sources capable of performing work on a commercial contract at the NIST Boulder, Colorado Campus Site. The project involves removing and replacing domestic water piping and valves, including approximately 350 linear feet of existing 6-inch cast iron domestic water piping and replacing it with PVC piping. The work also includes the removal and replacement of one 6-inch fire hydrant valve, one 6-inch water main valve, and one 6-inch branch valve. Interested and capable sources are requested to electronically submit a Capabilities Statement with supporting supplemental data. Some key points to consider include: • The project location is at the NIST Boulder Campus, specifically the Daycare center lawn, Building 26 to the front of Building 3 main entrance sidewalk. • The period of performance for this work is 180 calendar days from Notice to Proceed (NTP). • The contractor shall provide all labor, materials, equipment, supervision, and transportation necessary to perform demolition, installation, testing, and restoration associated with the replacement of an existing water main and associated components. • The contractor shall verify all existing site conditions and utility locations prior to beginning excavation activities. • The contractor shall provide a detailed, site-specific Safety Plan to the contracting officer within 10 days after award. • The contractor shall provide all safety-related equipment required to perform the work under this award, including personal protective equipment (PPE) and other equipment that is required or appropriate to protect contractor personnel and other personnel on the NIST campus.
