Intent to Award Sole/Single Source: Centrifuge and Research Altitude Chambers (C/RAC) Operations

The Air Force Research Laboratory (AFRL) intends to award a sole source contract to KBR Wyle Services, LLC, for the operation and maintenance of the Centrifuge and Research Altitude Chambers (C/RAC) facilities. The contract will be a 60-month IDIQ contract with a 57-month ordering period. The contractor will provide scientific, engineering, and technical expertise to support the daily operations of the C/RAC facilities, including centrifuge and chamber setup, control system programming, data collection, scheduling, troubleshooting, and repair. The contractor must comply with all applicable regulations and codes. • The contractor must provide a broad base of scientific, engineering, and technical expertise to support the daily O&M of the centrifuge and research altitude chambers. • The contractor must develop continuity manuals for the O&M of the C/RAC in conjunction with existing government-owned documents. • The contractor must provide specialized personnel, including an Inside Observer, Lecturer, Program Manager, Maintainer, Aerospace Physiology Officer, Research Coordinator, Crew Chief, and Cockpit Equipment Integration Lab (CEIL) Shop Technician.
