Rubble Mound Breakwaters Repair, Bar Point Harbor, Ketchikan, Alaska

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers is conducting market research to facilitate a determination of acquisition strategy for the repair of two rubble mound breakwaters at Bar Point Harbor in Ketchikan, Alaska. The project will include removing and replacing armor rock and quarry run rock, raising the crest of the breakwater, and adjusting the width of the typical cross-section. The contractor will be required to furnish all labor, equipment, supplies, materials, supervision, and other items and services necessary to accomplish the work. The estimated magnitude of construction is between $25,000,000 and $100,000,000, and the type of contract will be firm-fixed price. • The project will include repair of two rubble mound breakwaters, an 1100' detached breakwater and a 700' stub breakwater. • The contractor will be required to comply with commercial and industry standards as well as all applicable Federal, State, and local laws, regulations, and procedures. • The estimated award date of this contract is August 2027. • The contractor must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) before submitting a bid. • The requirement for the submission of both performance and payment bonds in an amount equivalent to 100% of the award price shall be applicable.
