Description
The Fermi Forward Discovery Group, LLC (FFDG) is seeking a vendor to provide insulation vacuum turbo pumps and associated equipment for the PIP-II Accelerator. The subcontractor shall provide turbomolecular pump systems that will provide fully functional pumping, control, and readback. The required elements include turbomolecular pumps, controllers, power cables, and connector kits. The pumps shall conform to specific requirements, including a pumping speed of ≥400 l/s, ultimate total pressure of ≤1E-10 mbar, and compression ratio for He ≥5E4. The vendor shall provide three prior references of similar size and scope projects for laboratory or governmental entities.
• The pumps shall have 8” CF inlet flanges and analog and digital I/O for PLC-based controls.
• The controllers shall be rack-mountable and provide pressure readings in mbar units.
• The equipment shall be new, not used or refurbished, and arrive UHV ready.
• The pump cable shall conform to specific criteria, and the vendor shall identify the maximum cable length for proper pump function.
• The vendor shall provide all manuals required for operation.
