Cutting Trees, Stump Grinding, and Pruning Dead Tree Branches at Sunset Hill Cemetery

The City of Valdosta is seeking a contractor to cut down approximately 7 trees at Sunset Hill Cemetery, grind the stumps below ground level, and prune dead tree branches. The city requires a mandatory site visit to examine the work area and meet with Mark Coppage, Cemetery Supervisor. The contractor must provide a quote for each tree and stump grinding, as well as pruning dead tree branches. The city will be responsible for removing the debris, but the contractor must pile the trees together and take utmost care to protect the surrounding buildings, monuments, and vegetation. The award will be made to the vendor quoting the best price or the vendor that includes the most trees for the best value. • The city requires a W-9, E-Verify Certificate, Workers Compensation Insurance, $1,000,000 in General Liability Insurance, and Automotive Insurance. • The contractor must provide a completed quote package with all required documentation. • The city reserves the right to reject all bids or award the bid in the city's best interest.
