USAFA Liquid Nitrogen Plant/Generator

The United States Air Force Academy (USAFA) is conducting market research to identify capable sources to provide two Liquid Nitrogen Plants or Generators. The equipment will support the USAFA Chemistry Department and several dependent departments. The plants or generators must meet specific salient characteristics, including a production capacity of at least 60 liters of liquid nitrogen per day, a storage capacity of at least 210 liters, and an overall footprint not exceeding 6.5 ft. x 6 ft. Interested parties are invited to submit a Capability Statement, which must include company profile, business size/socioeconomic status, technical capability, delivery/lead time, and existing contracts. The key requirements for the Liquid Nitrogen Plant/Generator include: • Production Capacity: at least 60 liters of liquid nitrogen per day • Storage Capacity: at least 210 liters • Footprint Restrictions: not exceeding 6.5 ft. x 6 ft. • Altitude Operation: designed for high-altitude operation at 7,500 ft. • Gas Separation & Purity: minimum of 98% pure nitrogen • Maintenance & Support: routine maintenance on-site and comprehensive service kit • Safety & Automation: automatic liquid nitrogen level indicator and standby mode • Extraction & Transfer: cryogenically insulated extraction line and valve • Compressor: air-cooled helium compressor • Mounting: floor stand for the nitrogen generator assembly • Condition: brand new equipment • Warranty: comprehensive warranty on all parts and workmanship • Training and Installation: on-site training and installation • Services & Support: in-state application support
