Seamless SS tubing PR in support of Variable Atmospheric Test Facility (VATF) build-up

The National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) is seeking a vendor to supply seamless stainless steel tubing, fittings, and other materials for the Variable Atmospheric Test Facility (VATF) chamber at the Marshall Space Flight Center. The materials will be used to simulate flight-like environments for future exploration habitat environmental conditions. The vendor is expected to deliver the materials within 60 days of accepting the task. The technical specifications require that the tubing, fittings, and plumbing hardware consist of 17-18% Chromium (Cr) and 12-14% Nickel (Ni), and that the fittings be two-ferrule, compression grip fittings capable of hinging tube grip, resisting vibration, and sealing. • The materials requested include 316/316L and 304L seamless stainless steel tubing, fittings, and other materials such as ferrules, compression fittings, ball valves, and flow meters. • The vendor must provide specifications and metallurgical quality certification for the materials. • The vendor must also provide CAD drawings of the fittings, tubing, and other materials. • The materials must be cleaned to SC-11 or equivalent ASTM G93 Level C cleaning specifications.
