Sources Sought Notice - Morovis National Cemetery, Phase 1B

The Department of Veterans Affairs is seeking sources for the construction of Phase 1B of the Morovis National Cemetery in Puerto Rico. The project involves completing new cemetery infrastructure, including the removal and replacement of pond liners, fencing, landscaping, and irrigation. The contractor will be required to provide a Contractor Capability Statement package, which includes information on their experience, business size, and bonding capacity. The project is expected to last 24 months, and the contractor will be required to work in phases to minimize disruptions to the cemetery's operations. Some key features of the project include: • As-built survey of fencing alignment and retention ponds • Landscaping around ponds • Completion of irrigation system design • Removal and replacement of existing pond liners with new liners having concrete bottoms and a gas venting system • Installation of chain-link fencing around ponds and barbed wire fencing around the perimeter of the site • Construction of a French drain and relocation of a temporary committal shelter The contractor will be required to provide a detailed list of ongoing contracts and projects, as well as information on their experience with similar projects, including VA/NCA national cemetery projects, state/local/private cemetery projects, and projects requiring the construction of multiple features typical to a national cemetery.
