BEAD NEPA and Historic Preservation Services

The Washington State Broadband Office (WSBO) is soliciting proposals for environmental support services to provide Environmental Support Services (ESS) for NTIA's BEAD projects and grant recipients. The selected third-party contractor will be responsible for assisting the WSBO staff in reviewing environmental documentation prepared by grant recipients and completing related work within the agreed-upon schedule and approved budget. The contractor will be expected to complete tasks such as conducting reviews of draft Environmental Assessment (EA), Environmental Impact Statement (EIS), and Categorical Exclusion (CatEx) documentation, reviewing BEAD grant recipients’ project plans and designs, and developing and implementing policies related to environmental compliance. Key aspects of the job include: • Conducting environmental reviews and assessments • Coordinating with broadband stakeholders and grant recipients • Providing technical assistance and guidance on environmental and cultural resource issues • Developing and implementing environmental management plans • Ensuring compliance with environmental laws and regulations • Managing multiple projects simultaneously and working closely with federal, state, and local agencies.
