Archeological Services

The Sacramento Area Sewer District (SacSewer) is establishing an on‑call list of qualified archaeological consultants to support its capital‑project regulatory compliance. The contract will be awarded on a time‑and‑expenses basis, with a not‑to‑exceed ceiling, for an initial five‑year term and possible extensions. Consultants must demonstrate expertise in California archaeological regulations, tribal consultation, and possess a registered Principal Investigator/ Senior Archaeologist. Services include technical support, permitting, design assistance, construction monitoring, and remediation guidance. Proposals are limited to 20 pages (excluding required attachments) and must be submitted electronically by November 10, 2026. • Provide CEQA, NEPA, NHPA guidance and staff training • Conduct archaeological assessments, surveys, and significance determinations • Assist with permit applications, Section 106, AB‑52, SB‑18 tribal notifications • Offer construction‑phase support: on‑site monitoring, human‑remains liaison, contractor training • Develop cultural‑resource management plans, monitoring and remediation protocols • Deliver reports and documentation of unexpected discoveries • Compensation: time‑and‑expenses with a contract‑wide not‑to‑exceed limit
