Description
The City of Laredo is seeking a Construction Manager‑at‑Risk (CMAR) to lead the preservation, restoration, and interior renovation of the historic Plaza Theatre, as well as the construction of an adjacent infill structure that will support theater operations and improve accessibility. The effort is a two‑step selection process; this RFP is Step II and is limited to firms that were short‑listed in Step I. The contractor will be responsible for detailed design coordination, procurement, construction management, integration of new building systems, and delivery of a guaranteed‑maximum‑price contract. The estimated project budget is $8.4 million, and the successful proposer must provide a 5 % bid bond and be prepared to execute performance and payment bonds upon award.
