Ralston Penstock Interior Relining Project

The Ralston Penstock Interior Relining Project involves the furnishing of all labor, materials, tax, equipment, and services for the construction and completion of the interior relining for the 1200-foot-long carbon steel penstock pipe. The project includes confined space entry, removal/transport/disposal of the existing hot coal tar enamel lining, abrasive blasting, chloride contamination testing, and application of a minimum 50 to 60-mil-thick VOC compliant high-performance industrial epoxy coating. The total contract time to achieve final completion is 895 calendar days, and the estimated cost of construction is $4,500,000. • The project requires a mandatory pre-bid meeting and site walk-through. • Bidders must have a valid State of California (CA) Class A Contractor’s License and a C-33 specialty. • The project is subject to compliance monitoring and enforcement by the DIR. • The successful bidder will be required to furnish both a Faithful Performance Bond and a Payment Bond in the amount of 100% of the contract price.
