Geotechnical Engineering & Construction Materials Testing Services for FMPDHQ Facilities

The City of Fort Myers is seeking a qualified firm to provide geotechnical engineering and construction materials testing services for the Fort Myers Police Department Headquarter project. The selected consultant will be responsible for ensuring that construction materials and subsurface conditions meet project specifications, regulatory requirements, and applicable standards. The scope of work includes reviewing geotechnical reports, observing and evaluating site preparation and earthwork operations, performing field density testing and compaction verification, and providing on-site geotechnical consultation as needed. The consultant must have a minimum of three years of experience in business under the current company/firm name and must demonstrate qualifications to do business in the State of Florida. Some key points to consider: • The consultant must provide all labor, supervision, professional expertise, equipment, instrumentation, materials, testing services, and technical support necessary to perform geotechnical engineering and construction materials testing services. • The consultant must maintain all licenses, registrations, certifications, and accreditations required by law throughout the term of the Agreement. • The consultant must comply with all applicable federal, state, and local regulations. • The consultant must not direct the specialty contractor regarding installation means and methods. • The consultant must provide final certification of geotechnical-related work.
