This RFI seeks market research for two high‑current superconducting‑magnet power‑supply systems (dipole and quadrupole) for the Electron‑Ion Collider Hadron Storage Ring at Brookhaven National Laboratory. The contractor must design, manufacture, test, and optionally commission the supplies, including quench‑protection, precise current regulation, PLC/EPICS controls, water‑cooled semiconductor modules, and extensive documentation. The effort includes detailed engineering, NRTL certification, factory acceptance testing, and compliance with a broad set of safety, quality, and environmental standards.
• Provide complete design, fabrication, and testing of two 7 kA, two‑quadrant power supplies (±400 V dipole, ±100 V quadrupole).
• Deliver all associated hardware (DCCTs, control cabinets, quench‑protection assemblies), software/firmware, and a full documentation package (drawings, test reports, manuals, certification).
• Optionally supply on‑site commissioning support at BNL and meet stringent schedule milestones (PDR ~12 weeks ARO, FDR ~20 weeks ARO, final delivery up to 186 weeks ARO).
