The U.S. Geological Survey's (USGS) Western Fisheries Research Center is soliciting technical assistance from a CESU partner to integrate a novel road network model into an existing invasive quagga and zebra mussel risk assessment model for Washington State and expand that model to establish a standardized risk assessment for golden mussels in California. The partner will be responsible for developing a manuscript, a map-based decision-support tool, and static maps to identify ideal locations for risk mitigation efforts. The project aims to support the President's Executive Order 14154 – Unleashing American Energy and protect numerous hydro-electric facilities and ensure reliable energy is readily accessible.
