Cornerstone CS-26-0404 JMTC Flexible Foundry Design

The U.S. Army Combat Capabilities Development Command – Chemical Biological Center (DEVCOM CBC) is seeking proposals for the design of a 56,000-square-foot expansion and renovation of the west of Building 212 at the Rock Island Arsenal Joint Manufacturing and Technology Center (RIA-JMTC). The design must include robust site and utility upgrades, complex site preparation, environmental and safety compliance, and the incorporation of new covered loading ramps and high-capacity overhead doors. The project aims to deliver a comprehensive, fully executable design for a modernized, consolidated foundry facility that integrates disparate workflows into a single optimized footprint. • The design must encompass significant mechanical, electrical, and plumbing enhancements. • The project requires complex site preparation across the 2.6-acre area. • The design phase must address environmental and safety compliance, including strategies for stormwater and air emissions permitting. • The expanded facility must incorporate new covered loading ramps, loading docks, and high-capacity overhead doors. • The prototype design effort will provide a shovel-ready technical package for the planned construction start in March 2028.
