Backflow Testing Services

The Department of Veterans Affairs is seeking a contractor to provide backflow preventer testing services to the Minneapolis VA Medical System. The contractor will be responsible for inspecting, testing, and repairing approximately 120 backflow preventer/reduced pressure zone devices, including two devices located outside the facility in pits. The services will be performed between September 1st and October 31st of each year. The contractor must possess certifications for ASSE Standard 5110 and confined space training. • The contract has a guaranteed minimum value of $11,700 and a maximum cost limitation of $200,000. • The contractor will be required to submit an estimated schedule within 30 days of the notice to proceed. • The contractor will be paid for the number of RPZs inspected and tested. • The contractor must comply with the VA's security, access, and badging requirements. • The contractor must provide all necessary tools, materials, equipment, and labor to perform the services.
