Sources Sought Notice for an Arbitrary Waveform Generator

The National Institute for Standards and Technology (NIST) is seeking information from potential sources for an arbitrary waveform generator. The generator will be used in the development of standard reference materials for magnetic moment, a critical standard for measuring magnetic materials for next-generation memory and computing. The contractor shall deliver one arbitrary waveform generator, inclusive of warranty, with specific technical requirements such as a sampling rate of at least 6 GSa/s, waveform memory depth of at least 4 Gpts, and output range of 5 Vpeak-to-peak. • The arbitrary waveform generator must communicate with the control computer of the Absolute Magnetometer system. • The generator must have at least two analog channels and a maximum output frequency of 2 GHz. • The vertical resolution must be 16 bits, and the jitter must be less than 2 ps. • The generator must have a calibration traceable to the SI and come with two sets of manuals. • The contractor must provide documentation demonstrating how the minimum requirements and technical specifications will be met.
