Educator Reading Training for Students with IEP/Dyslexia/ML

The Colorado Department of Education is seeking proposals from experienced organizations to develop scientific and evidence-based intensive reading intervention training for educators of students with disabilities, multilingual learners, and students at-risk for or identified with dyslexia. The training will be developed in both online and in-person formats and will cover topics such as phonological and phonemic awareness, decoding, spelling, fluency, vocabulary, and reading comprehension strategies. The contractor will be responsible for developing a five-hour online SCORM package and a five-hour in-person training, as well as providing technical assistance and support for the online course. The contract is anticipated to begin in the spring of 2026 and last through June 30, 2027, with the possibility of renewal for up to three additional years. Some key points about this opportunity include: • The training will be developed for educators of students in K-3rd grade and those who teach reading interventions to students in 4th-12th grade. • The contractor will be responsible for developing a detailed description of their organizational experience related to the work. • The contractor will be evaluated on their experience, approach, and price. • The contract will be awarded to the offeror whose proposal is determined to be the most advantageous to the state, taking into consideration the price and other factors.
