Description
The Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE) is launching a statewide AI‑literacy initiative for Massachusetts middle schools (grades 6‑8). The solicitation seeks vendors to either (or both) provide implementation support for the AI‑literacy curriculum and/or develop introductory AI‑literacy modules and pilot them in selected schools. This work involves curriculum‑rollout assistance, teacher training, instructional design, creation of learning materials, and a pilot implementation phase.
• Scope A – Implementation Support: assist districts in adopting and delivering the AI‑literacy curriculum statewide.
• Scope B – Module Development & Pilot: design introductory AI‑literacy learning modules, produce instructional content, and conduct a pilot rollout.
• Targets public middle‑school students and the districts that serve them; requires experience in K‑12 curriculum development, AI/technology education, and project management.
