The Department of Veterans Affairs is seeking a contractor to provide medical waste disposal services for the Salisbury VA Health Care System, including the Salisbury VAMC, Charlotte HCC, CBOC, and Kernersville HCC. The contractor will be responsible for removing, transporting, and disposing of regulated medical waste, including sharps, pathology waste, and chemotherapy waste. The contract has a base period of one year, with four option years. The contractor must comply with all applicable federal, state, and local regulations, including those related to environmental protection and worker safety. • The contractor must provide all necessary personnel, equipment, and supplies to perform the services. • The contractor must ensure that all waste is disposed of in accordance with applicable regulations. • The contractor must provide a written backup plan in case of system failure. • The contractor must comply with all security and confidentiality requirements. • The contractor must provide proof of insurance and licenses. • The contractor must comply with all applicable laws and regulations, including those related to employment and labor.
