The City of Nashua, New Hampshire is soliciting proposals from qualified vendors to conduct a pilot study evaluating foam fractionation treatment technologies for the destruction of per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) in foamate generated from landfill leachate treatment at the Four Hills Landfill. The pilot study will assess the effectiveness of candidate destruction technologies and establish key design parameters for a future full-scale PFAS destruction system.
• The pilot study is expected to start in summer 2026 and will last for approximately 90 days.
• The City is seeking a vendor who can provide equipment, labor, and materials necessary to perform the pilot study under the oversight of the City, Sanborn Head, and the New Hampshire Department of Environmental Services (NHDES).
• The study will evaluate PFAS removal efficiency, operational performance, and waste generation while supporting the City's efforts to address PFAS compounds regulated by USEPA and NHDES and improve long-term leachate management at the Facility.
• The City reserves the right to reject any and all proposals or parts of proposals and to waive any defects, information, and minor irregularities.
• The City encourages disadvantaged business enterprise (DBE) participation from contractors and/or subcontractors.
