Bid NO. 26-09 A.J. Brown WWTP Chlorine Storage Building Rehabilitation

The City of Huntsville, Texas, is seeking sealed bids from qualified contractors for the rehabilitation of the A.J. Brown WWTP Chlorine Storage Building. The project includes the rehabilitation of the existing chlorine storage building, and the contractor will be responsible for completing the work within 90 days of the date of award. The city reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive informalities or defects. • The project requires the contractor to have a permanent place of business, adequate plant and equipment, a suitable financial status, and appropriate technical experience. • The contractor must submit a bid bond in the amount of 10% of the bid submitted, and a payment bond for the full amount of the award. • The city will evaluate bids based on best value, considering factors such as price, quality of item, location of responder, safety record of responder, and past relationship with responder. • The contractor will be required to indemnify, hold harmless, and defend the city, its officers, agents, and employees against any and all liability for any claims, liens, suits, demands, and actions for damages.
