Description
The United States Coast Guard is seeking a contractor to provide overhaul services for a pump, cooling system, and engine. The contractor will be required to inspect, report, and overhaul the equipment in accordance with Caterpillar specifications and standards. The overhaul will include the replacement of genuine Caterpillar manufactured parts and the restoration of the operating and performance characteristics to the OEM's like new current design and technical specifications. The contractor will also be required to provide a Condition Found Report and Cost Proposal, which will include the required repairs, new replacement parts, labor rate, labor hours, and total estimate for all required services.
The key aspects of the job include:
• Inspecting and reporting on the condition of the pump, cooling system, and engine
• Overhauling the equipment to restore its operating and performance characteristics
• Replacing genuine Caterpillar manufactured parts
• Providing a Condition Found Report and Cost Proposal
• Packaging and marking the overhauled equipment for shipment
The contractor will be required to guarantee the equipment against defects for a period of up to two years after delivery.
