Residential Lot Redevelopment

The City of Southgate is accepting proposals for the purchase and redevelopment of two residential lots, 14282 Fordline and 11699 Mulberry. The lots are being sold in an "As Is" condition, and the city assumes no responsibility for environmental conditions or underground conditions. The proposal must include a site plan, construction plans, and a description of the proposed building features. The city is looking for proposals that meet or exceed the suggested minimum features, including a minimum living area of 1000 sq.ft., full brick exterior, and underground utilities. The proposal will be evaluated based on the highest and best use of the property, quality of development, and demonstrated experience and qualifications of the proposal maker. • The lots are being sold for $10,000 each. • The proposal maker must submit a bid deposit of $1,000. • The proposal maker must undertake development within 180 days of closing and complete development within 365 days. • The city reserves the right to reject any or all proposals and to waive any formal defects in proposals. • The proposal maker must provide a letter of credit in the amount of $5,000 to ensure commencement and completion of development.
