The University of North Carolina at Charlotte is seeking design services for the RUP (Regional Utility Plant)-4 HVAC & Controls project. The project involves replacement and installation of various mechanical, electrical, and controls systems, including chillers, pumps, valves, and sensors. The selected designer will be responsible for providing a comprehensive design for the project, including all necessary electrical and mechanical work. The project budget is $1,500,000, and proposals are due by 2:00 p.m. on November 12, 2025. Key aspects of the project include: • Replacement of obsolete BAS controls with EcoStruxure graphic front-end • Installation of water side economizer for the plant • Replacement of maintenance-prone primary and secondary chilled and hot water pumps • Installation of upstream power conditioner/power quality units upstream of the chiller • Replacement of refrigerant monitoring systems The proposer must be licensed in the State of North Carolina to offer architectural or engineering services in response to this solicitation.
