Ready Mix Concrete

The City of Pittsburgh is seeking bids from qualified firms for the supply of Ready Mix Concrete. The contract period is from September 1, 2026, to August 31, 2028, with two one-year options to renew. The City requires the contractor to provide various types of concrete, including Class A, Class AA, Class HES, and others, and to deliver the concrete to various locations within the City. The contractor must also provide documentation, such as concrete mix designs and quality assurance procedures, upon request from the City. • The contract requires the contractor to deliver concrete within 4 business days from the date of order. • The contractor must also provide emergency delivery services, including delivery on weekends or holidays, in rare cases. • The City has set participation goals for Disadvantaged Business Enterprises (DBE) in the contract, including 18% participation for Minority-Owned Business Enterprises, 7% for Women-Owned Business Enterprises, 5% for Veteran-Owned Small Businesses, and 3% for LGBTQIA+-Owned Businesses. • The contractor must demonstrate good faith efforts to meet these participation goals and provide documentation of outreach efforts to DBEs.
