Description

The City of Cincinnati is seeking a qualified contractor to provide barricade installation, inspection, and related maintenance services for vacant commercial properties throughout the city. The work includes fabricating and installing temporary or permanent barricades around openings, installing locks and hasps, providing chain‑link fencing when directed, performing emergency and non‑emergency call‑outs, and keeping sites clean and safe. The contractor must be able to respond within 24 hours for routine requests and within 2 hours for emergencies, maintain a 12‑month contract term, and meet MBE/WBE participation goals. • Install plywood/2×4 framed barricades on all required openings, including doors and windows, using rust‑resistant fasteners and specified paint colors. • Provide emergency response (2‑hour on‑site) and non‑emergency response (≤ 24 hours) for barricade repairs, inspections, and removal/adjustments. • Supply and install chain‑link fencing (permanent or temporary) and related hardware when directed, and handle site clean‑up, weed/litter removal, and related labor.

Budget estimate

$80,000 – $120,000

The solicitation lists an estimated contract value of $100,000. Considering typical material, labor, and overhead costs for barricade fabrication and emergency response, the actual earned revenue could range from roughly $80,000 (if the contractor prices conservatively) up to $120,000 (if additional change orders, emergency call‑outs, or optional fencing are exercised). Factors influencing the final amount include the number of buildings serviced, frequency of emergency call‑outs, and any supplemental work such as permanent fencing.
