Description
The Regional Transit Authority of New Orleans is seeking a qualified contractor to replace the diesel engines on eight 2019 New Flyer XD40 transit buses. The work includes supplying up‑to‑eight remanufactured Cummins L9 280 HP EPA‑2019 engines, all required auxiliary equipment (generator/alternator, starter, air compressor, DPF, DOC), and completing removal, installation, dyno‑testing and certification. The contractor must meet Buy‑America requirements, provide a minimum two‑year unlimited‑mile warranty, and adhere to strict timelines: a two‑day delivery notice, engine delivery within ~90 days of PO, and completion of each bus installation within ten business days of delivery (with a $300/day demurrage penalty for overruns). The contract is fixed‑price, award will be based on the lowest responsible bid, and all subcontractors must flow down DBE, Buy‑America, and federal compliance clauses.
