RFQ-Progressive Design-Build Services for the Bryant Farms Road Extension Phase II Project (Rea Road to Ardrey Kell Road)

The City of Charlotte is seeking Progressive Design-Build services to design and construct the Bryant Farms Road Extension Phase II Project. The project will extend Bryant Farms Road from Rea Road to Ardrey Kell Road, approximately 1.2 miles, and will include a two-lane road, center turn lane/median, curb and gutter, planting strips, multi-use paths, streetlights, and landscape buffers. The project will also include a crossing over an unnamed stream and Flat Branch creek, and approximately 6,600 feet of new 36” water main. The project is expected to be completed within 5 years and will have a budget of approximately $57 million. • The project will provide a complete street design with accommodations for pedestrians and bicyclists. • The project will extend connectivity across South Charlotte and provide additional capacity for Charlotte Water. • The project will include stormwater management systems and will be designed to meet the City of Charlotte's Post-Construction Stormwater Ordinance requirements. • The project will require real estate services to acquire permanent and temporary easements and provide relocation services as necessary. • The project will have a significant impact on the surrounding community and will require public outreach and engagement.
