Armed Security Guard Services

The City of Port St. Lucie is seeking a qualified proposer to provide armed security guard services at the MIDFLORIDA Event Center. The selected proposer will be responsible for providing one armed security guard to be centrally stationed at the MFEC main lobby desk, monitoring the facility's security camera system, and performing patrols of the interior and exterior spaces. The proposer must demonstrate a proven track record of providing similar services, have at least 5 years of experience, and possess the necessary licenses and certifications. The contract term is for three years with three one-year options to renew. • The security guard will be required to work Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 9:00 p.m., and 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday. • The security guard will be responsible for monitoring the facility's security camera system, visually monitoring foot traffic, and responding to incidents. • The proposer must provide a daily activity report detailing the previous day's patrols, observations, and incidents. • The proposer must also provide proof of de-escalation training for their security guards. • The City reserves the right to request additional information and to reject any or all proposals.
