Lexington Park Library Makerspace Glass Walls

The St. Mary's County Library is seeking a vendor to build a glass-walled makerspace inside the Lexington Park Library. The scope of work includes installing two glass walls, one approximately 41 feet long and the other approximately 21 feet long, with electric opening or sliding doors for ADA accessibility, channels for electrical cabling, and potentially sound management or sound masking for the space. The budget for this effort should not exceed $100,000. The selected firm should anticipate a three-month timeframe for the scope of work and include a schedule in their proposal. • The glass walls must tie in to an existing wall and an exterior window. • The proposal should include the firm's previous success with glass wall systems, preferably in a library or educational setting. • The proposal should include bios of the team, approach, schedule, fees, and references. • The work is intended to start by January 1, 2026.
