Sanitary Sewer Replacement

The Town of Clayton is seeking bids for the construction of the Sanitary Sewer Replacement project, which includes removing and replacing manholes, bypass pumping, and installing new sewer services. The project is expected to last 20 days and will take place at night due to the location and businesses being affected. The town requires bidders to submit their bids via email by 2:00 PM local time on March 19, 2026. • The project includes the removal and replacement of manhole 1124, bypass pumping, and removal of manhole 1123. • The installation of flowable fill sewer main crossing E. Main St. • The installation of two new 4” 401 Lined DIP sewer services for 800 & 710 E. Main St. • The re-connection to existing service in the right of way on the property. • Milling 2” and paving 25ft each side of the trench per NCDOT encroachment agreement. • The installation of a new 4’ diameter manhole at the intersection of Compton St. & E. Main St.
