Standoff Diagnostic Technologies for (Surface) Unexploded Explosive Ordnance and Improvised Explosive Devices

The U.S. Government is seeking information on standoff diagnostic technologies for surface unexploded explosive ordnance and improvised explosive devices. The ideal technologies should be capable of diagnosing these hazards at safe distances, determining their operational status, and identifying potential threats. The technologies should be non-invasive and able to operate at standoff distances of 3 ft and beyond. Some key features of the desired technologies include: • Advanced sensor sets for standoff detection, identification, and assessment of explosive hazards • Enhanced data analysis capabilities for processing sensor data quickly and accurately • Ability to determine the operational status of explosive ordnance and hazards, including armed and unarmed or hazardous and nonhazardous conditions • Ability to identify associated primary or secondary hazards, fuze functioning, and inherent threat The Government is looking for information on the full functionality and capabilities of each standoff diagnostic technology available, or soon to be available, on the marketplace.
