The National Park Service is providing a notice of intent to award a task agreement under a previously competed or single source master cooperative agreement. The project is titled "Cultural Landscapes and Asset Management Internship" and aims to improve access for Facility and Resource Managers to deferred maintenance data for cultural landscapes. The project will also increase the quantity and accuracy of cultural landscapes information in the Facility Management Software System (FMSS) and the Enterprise Cultural Resources Geographic Information System (CRGIS). The internship will provide an opportunity for a young adult to learn about cultural resource management, asset management, and conservation work.
Some key aspects of the project include:
• Improving access to deferred maintenance data for cultural landscapes
• Increasing the quantity and accuracy of cultural landscapes information in FMSS and CRGIS
• Conducting field work to document deficiencies in cultural landscapes
• Assisting with the creation of work orders for deferred maintenance projects in cultural landscapes
• Providing training and educational opportunities for the intern in areas such as data entry, data translation, and field inspection techniques
