The Department of Financial Services, Division of Workers’ Compensation, is seeking to purchase statistical information generated by the Workers Compensation Research Institute Incorporated (WCRI) to measure the performance of the Florida Workers' Compensation System. The information will be used to carry out the Division’s obligation in regard to the State’s workers’ compensation system and to direct potential legislative changes.
The key aspects of this opportunity include:
• The WCRI is the only known entity that compiles and publishes independent data for fifteen (15) to twenty (20) other large states that participate in the study.
• The stakeholders of Florida’s Workers’ Compensation System benefit from research that assists in monitoring the effects of legislation and administrative changes.
• The WCRI produces two (2) CompScope™ reports that provide policymakers useful tools to conduct system evaluations.
• The single source determination was made because the WCRI is the only known organization that possesses the data sources and analytical capability to conduct these types of multi-state comparisons.
