West Side Bicycle Boulevards

The City of Tucson is seeking bids for the construction of roadway improvements to develop a more comfortable bike facility known as a bike boulevard. The work includes traffic calming, BikeHAWK signals, signing, pavement markings, landscaping, and other related incidental work. The project will be constructed according to City of Tucson Plan No. I-2024-018 and the PAG standard specifications and project Special Provisions. • The bike boulevard will feature traffic calming measures such as speed humps, speed cushions, and traffic circles. • The project will include the construction of concrete curb, concrete sidewalk, curb access ramps, concrete driveway aprons, traffic signals, and traffic signal modifications. • The contractor will be required to provide a performance surety in the amount of 100% of the awarded Contract amount within ten days after notice of award. • The contractor will be liable for liquidated damages of $1,860.00 for each calendar day of delay. • The contractor must have the appropriate license issued by the State of Arizona Registrar of Contractors in order to bid and maintain same through the duration of the project.
