Countywide Aggregate Materials, Landscape Bark, and Topsoil

The County of Pierce is seeking bids for the supply of crushed, manufactured, or naturally occurring aggregates, landscape bark, and topsoil. The materials may be picked up, delivered to Pierce County stockpiles, or delivered to a Public Works job site. The bid is for a period of one year, with the option to renew for up to 5 years. The contractor will be responsible for delivering materials within 48 hours of receipt of a County written email or phone order. The bid includes unit pricing for materials, and the County reserves the right to increase or decrease the amount of work to eliminate one or more items prior to or following award. • The bid includes delivery to various locations in Pierce County, including Ramsdell Pit, Poleline Pit, WCMF Shop Pit, and others. • The contractor must provide certification that the transportable attenuator complies with NCHRP 350 Test level 3 or MASH Test Level 3 requirements. • The bid includes the provision of temporary traffic control materials, including transportable attenuators, trailer-mounted attenuators, and pedestrian channelizing devices. • The contractor must comply with all applicable laws, rules, and regulations, including those related to environmental protection and worker safety.
