EXTERIOR NATURAL GAS LINE REPAIR

The U.S. Coast Guard is seeking a contractor to replace approximately 50 linear feet of corroded/degraded 2” gauge liquid natural gas (LNG) line extending from the city meter to the emergency generator at the USCG Station Morro Bay, CA 93442. The contractor shall provide all supervision, labor, equipment, parts, and materials necessary to remove the existing LNG line and replace-in-kind. The work includes removing the existing run of LNG piping, installing a new 2” gauge gas line, and matching the gas piping exactly to the existing system. The contractor shall also air test the newly installed equipment and perp and paint the new exposed piping with a corrosion-resistant coating. • The contractor shall comply with local VOC laws and regulations. • The contractor shall provide a basic proposed construction plan, including a declaration of replacement materials and a work delivery schedule. • The contractor shall notify the Contracting Officer’s Representative (COR) 1 day before the performance, inspection, and acceptance tests are to be conducted. • The contractor shall implement a safety program that protects the lives and health of personnel in the construction area.
