The City of Placerville is soliciting proposals for the Water Reclamation Facility Digester No. 1 Servicing project. The project involves the removal of contents from Digester #1, cleaning and minimally inspecting the tank, and potentially dewatering sludge onsite. The digester consists of a 40-ft diameter concrete tank with a 23-ft side depth, 1:5 sloped bottom, 4-ft sump, and a fixed concrete cover. The working volume of sludge is expected to be approximately 80,000 gallons at the time of the project. The contractor will be required to mobilize necessary equipment and personnel, drain and clean all inner walls, floors, sumps, and appurtenances, and remove all remaining digester solids content. The contractor shall also provide inspection and photo/video documentation of post-cleaning conditions of all inner mechanical appurtenances and any structural damage or wear observed.
• The project requires the contractor to have experience with similar projects and to provide a detailed scope of work, including mobilization, demobilization, dewatering, inspection, and repair estimates.
• The contractor must comply with all applicable federal, state, and local laws, including those related to labor, safety, and environmental protection.
• The contract will be awarded based on the best value to the City, considering factors such as price, experience, and qualifications.
• The contractor will be required to provide a payment bond and a performance bond, and to maintain insurance coverage throughout the project.
